Makor Jewish Community Library has emerged twenty two years ago from a resource centre for the Jewish youth movements in Melbourne. Since 1985, we have been serving the needs of the general public, and steadily expanding resources and reaching out to more people in Australia′s multi-cultural community.
In today‛s "Global Village", with the overwhelming amount of information available, the role of professional guidance in search for information has no substitute. And Makor personnel are always there for you! Makor resources are constantly updated. We strive to provide the public with the latest books, films and music, better computers and new audio-visual technology.
To continue this important work, Makor Library needs your help! Unlike other libraries, we cannot rely on government funding. Makor operations are wholly funded by your donations and completely dependent on the community‛s generosity. Makor Library and Resource Centre (ABN 55 077 123 234) is a charitable institution and hence endorsed as a Tax Deductible Gift Recipient. Donations over $2 are fully tax deductible.
